Jeremy Tor, attorney at Spangenberg Shibley & Liber LLP, was recently featured in an article in the Cleveland magazine Jstyle, spotlighting his marriage to Shira Tor, who grew up in northeast Ohio.
The pair met in Phoenix in 2009. Shira was going to dental school and was a classmate of Jeremy’s sister-in-law. After formally meeting her, Jeremy asked his sister-in-law to set them up, but Shira was in a relationship at the time. Later that fall, after he returned to law school, Jeremy received a message out of the blue from Shira, and they started communicating on a regular basis. Their relationship progressed rapidly and, despite having never lived with a significant other before, the couple sought the approval of their parents to do exactly that. Shira was surprised when her father gave his blessing, but he felt Jeremy was a man he could trust. Their shared values, tight-knit family, and commitment to Jewish tradition serve as the resilient foundation for their marriage.
Today, Shira is a partner at Weiss & Tor Orthodontics, which has officers in Orange Village and Middleburg Heights. Jeremy, an attorney at Spangenberg Shibley & Liber LLP, represents those who are seriously injured or killed as a result of the wrongdoing of others.
