We are pleased to announce that Jeremy A. Tor has joined the Spangenberg Law Firm as an associate.
Jeremy returns to Cleveland after working at a large international law firm in Manhattan. While there, he co-authored a chapter on international arbitration and an article on asset freezes. Prior to that, he served for two years as a law clerk to the Honorable Dan Aaron Polster (N.D. Ohio), where he helped to craft judicial opinions on a wide variety of issues, both civil and criminal.
Jeremy received his law degree in 2011 from the University of Virginia. Upon graduation, he was awarded the Eppa Hunton IV Memorial Book Award, which is given by the faculty to one graduating student “who has demonstrated unusual aptitude in litigation courses and shown a keen awareness and understanding of the lawyer’s ethical and professional responsibility.”
Before law school, Jeremy was a Teach For America corps member in Baltimore, where he taught Spanish to high school students and earned a Master’s from Johns Hopkins University. Jeremy received a dual B.A., Honors, summa cum laude in Political Science and Spanish University of Arizona, where he received the Outstanding Senior Award as the top Political Science graduate. Jeremy was President and Captain of his college mock trial team, participating in numerous tournaments across the country at which he earned nearly a dozen Outstanding Attorney awards.
Jeremy is excited to return to Cleveland with his wife, Shira, an orthodontist in the practice of Weiss Orthodontics, and their baby daughter, Ariella.
